Hello, I'm Troy and I'm the owner and operator of InternetTrees.com.
Before I get too far, if you haven't already bought some trees, you should go here. This page has some simple instructions on how this site works. If you're still not clear, then try this page. And if you're still having problems, email me at info @ InternetTrees.com (minus the spaces).
Ok, so here is how it works. InternetTrees.com is teaming up with the Arbor Day Foundation to plant trees. For every $2.00 that you spend on this site, $1.00 goes to a real tree. These trees are part of the Trees for America program, which is planting trees to help recover damaged forest area. The donations to the Arbor Day Foundation are going to be made on a monthly or quarterly basis, based on volume.
The other part of your donation goes to planting a tree in this online art project. The virtual tree is a graphical representation of the tree that was planted in the real world and serves two purposes.

Question: Can I plant different types of trees?
Answer: Yes, you can mix and match a much as you like. Donations over $20 will also receive special care, meaning, a lake or woodland creature will show up in your neck of the woods.
Question: Can I make a donation without receiving a link?
Answer: Yes, but if you would just like to make a donation, we would suggest that you do it directly with the Arbor Day Foundation. You can visit their website here.
Question: I would like my tree or grove to show up at the top of the page. Can I pick where I want my trees to go?
Answer: First come, first server. However, as the forest grows users will be able to click on the "Ranger Stations" to help you navigate down the page. There may also be other navigation options as the site progresses.
Question: Can I link to whatever website I want?
Answer: No. InternetTrees.com will not except pornographic, spam, or malice websites. We don't want to prevent donors from contributing but in an effort to make this art project available to everyone, we reserve the right to remove or not link some donors.
Question: What is the max I can donate?
Answer: This is no limit but your trees may be split into different groves.
